Zajezdnia History Center – Guided tour of the “Let’s Learn Solidarity” exhibition
We made 5 films for the Zajezdnia History Center. The film series Learning Solidarity consists of 5 several-minute-long episodes in which museum employees talk about the most important events in the history of Poland from the period of the Polish People’s Republic.
As part of the implementation, we dealt with the cinematography, directing the Museum’s employees, audio recording and post-production, editing and color correction.

Part 1
The first part concerns the strikes that swept the entire country in 1980.
Part 2
The second part concerns the so-called Solidarity Carnival, i.e. the period from the signing of the August Agreements on August 31, 1980 and the implementation of martial law on December 13, 1981.
Part 3
The third part concerns martial law – preparations for its introduction, announcement and what it meant in practice. From the episode you will also learn about the activities undertaken by “Solidarity”, the so-called The Battle of Wrocław, illegal printing houses or the happenings of the Orange Alternative.
Part 4
The fourth part talks about the times of the Polish People’s Republic after the abolition of martial law, the economic collapse of the 1980s, elections to the National Councils, church-state relations and the turn of 1988.
Part 5
The last, fifth part tells, among others, about the Round Table talks, the elections in June 1989 and the first democratic presidential elections, in which Lech Wałęsa was the winner. The episode ends with the end of the Polish People’s Republic and the final overthrow of communism in Poland.
