BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE „DOING JUST FINE” MUSIC VIDEO FOR ANEZ

Our work on the “Doing Just Fine” music video for Anez is a story of how the right technical preparation allows an artist to completely focus on their performance.
CONCEPT
When Agata (Anez) came to us with the idea for a sensual music video shot in water, we knew it was a project that required strict discipline. Water is beautiful and highly visual, but also unpredictable. To capture every detail of the choreography, we couldn’t leave anything to chance.
We opted for backlighting to separate her silhouette from the background, making her the central focus of the image. Every light was positioned to emphasize the movement of the flowing costume, which we designed specifically to harmonize with the water.
ARTIST COMFORT AS A PRODUCTION PRIORITY
Working in water is a physical challenge. We knew the artist would get cold quickly, so every single minute on set had to be meticulously planned. Instead of exhausting the team with lengthy lighting adjustments, we shot with two cameras simultaneously. This allowed us to keep the number of takes to an absolute minimum.
We utilized a studio that offers complete control over the water volume and lighting across different zones. This isn’t just “technical jargon”—it’s how we ensure that you, as an artist, can step onto the set with the confidence that the crew is taking care of your well-being and time, leaving you free to focus on your emotions rather than the water temperature.
POST-PRODUCTION: PACING THE MUSIC
For us, editing is an extension of the track’s composition. We knew that “Doing Just Fine” follows a classic structure: a slow build-up, a climax at the two-thirds mark, and a fade-out. That is why decisions regarding effects (such as stroboscopes or visual transitions) were already made during the script planning phase.
We wanted the visuals to do more than just illustrate the music—we wanted them to pulse along with it. Pairing black and white with deep, red frames was our way of visually capturing the emotions hidden within the lyrics.
